**Shibugaki** is one of [[characters:Astro]]'s classmates in both the 1980s and 2003 series. He is known as **Alvin** in the English version of the 1980s series and **Abercrombie** in the English version of the 2003 series. 

Despite being a bully to children around him, he isn't evil.

Shibugaki is depicted as the school bully. He constantly bullies [[characters:Theodore|Tamao]] (Alejo in the 2003 series' English dub) as well as other children. He is also the leader of the bullies, shown during a class election where almost half the class voted for him, although [[characters:Astro]] cast the final vote against him, meaning he could not become class president.

In the 2003 series, Shibugaki (known as Abercrombie in the English version) was changed, although he is still large and borderline obese. Just like the 1980s series, he at first turned down Astro but later befriended him. He is also shown (surprisingly) to be friends with the very kid he bullies, Tamao.

In the 1980s series, he is voiced by Kazuya Tatekabe in the Japanese version.

In the 2003 series, he is voiced by Susumu Chiba in the Japanese version and by Sandy Martin in the English version.
