For those who already seen the movie, I think it would be a good time to list in point form of all the easter eggs/trival you found in it. I'll start....
- Astro's hair points shifts depending where the side of his head is frontal.
- Osamu Tezuka makes a cameo appearance as a scientist.
- The artificial sun makes an appearance at the end of the movie.
- Tezuka's trademark pig symbol can be seen on the sign post in Metro City and in the gladiator arena.
- Astro drilling out from the top of the mountain is reminiscence to the 60's intro.
- Daddy Walrus is the school teacher and he appears several times throughout.
- The robot character Zeus from Imagi's animated TV series, Zentrix, can be seen on the poster in Astro's room.
- When Astro wakes up after getting activated, each steps he taken makes a similar sound like in the 60's TV series from the same scene.
- Astro selflessly sacrificing himself to save others is a common personality trait that he also display in the last episode of the 60's TV series.
- The names of Dr Elefun and Toby were retain from the 80' TV series.
- Despite the cruelty that Hamegg brought on to Astro, Astro saves his life. This also happens in the 60's TV series.
-The date of the photo taken of Astro flying under the tunnel is the official birthday established in the manga.
Thats all I can think of so far. I'll add more if something comes up. What easter eggs you have noticed?
