Thanks AstroBoyGF. I find it fascinating to see what goes on behind the scenes of the Astro Boy movie. The first CG design of Astro Boy in part 1 was pretty good.

Yeah, Hamegg is too fat and the nose doesn't look faithful to the original design. Maybe its just a work in progress and the final will look different.

He does look quite a lot bigger... Luckily it only looks like a production picture, so we might still get lucky and he won't look so bad.
Personally I think its lucky that he's being included at all.

Sorry about dragging this on, but it's driving me nuts - even NOW! Comics made Hamegg look better than that. Hopefully that's a prototype design, and not still in use...

At least I'll have Up to look forward to.

OK- I never had that high hopes on the movie for the start, and I think they just dropped with that picture, =0= But that just means I'm down to almost medium. Hopefully, they're just making everything, eh, americanized? (Not that that's exactly good, but-)

I'm not expecting this to be The Dark Knight, to be honest, but it's still going to be good. I just wanna go to the theatre this October and see something fun that makes me feel like a kid again (not that I'm far off). Above all, I want to see Imagi render Tezuka's characters as close to their original versions as possible, rather than embarrass themselves and mortify the viewer.
