Or better yet, Phoenix vs. a weapon or summon from any of the Final Fantasies. Imagine Bahamut going against Phoenix with Astro Boy and Mickey Mouse watching in awe.

Also, they should have added some characters + worlds from Osama Tezuka's works in Kingdom Hearts. Actually, it would've made more sense to entirely replace them Final Fantasy characters with Tezuka's characters (e.g., Black Jack, Apollo's Song, MW, ASTRO BOY, and Phoenix).

I do not like the art. It deviates from Tezuka's style too much.

Yeah, I think people who say Astro is related to Pinocchio are getting Astro confused with Kikaider. Kikaider isn't related to Pinocchio, but his dilemma is similar. Pinocchio references are placed everywhere sometimes serving as metaphors.

Every scene with Atlas ruled in the 1980's series. I loved how he resembled the polar opposite of Astro Boy.

I am trying to find the 2003 Astro Boy subbed. It's ridiculous that the box set doesn't have it subbed! Also, why were the episodes put out of order?

Also one last question: Is the manga the Astro Boy manga the best way to experience Tezuka's vision unadulterated?
