**Duke Red** is a character who appears in many of Tezuka's works. Duke Red would be given a prominent role in the later episodes of the [[episodes:2003|2003 series]], where he was the leader of the human troops. His hatred towards robots intensified when his household robot [[characters:Jake]] supposedly tripped his daughter.
